Women’s Imaging provides specialised imaging services to women of all ages. Our practice offers women a truly unique experience where you are made to feel comfortable, well looked after and not rushed.

We specialise in breast imaging, obstetrics and gynaecological ultrasound. We also offer bone mineral density assessments (for men as well as women).

We are the only imaging centre in Tasmania that offers the most sensitive and comprehensive risk assessment at 12-14 weeks of your pregnancy and the only practice that is accredited in endometriosis scans through SAFE (sonographic association of endometriosis).

What makes us different to other imaging practices

Your scan or mammogram is always checked by our in-house radiologist or obstetrician before you leave the practice. If the doctor requires any clarification about your images it will be done so on the day.

Our staff are highly trained and are accredited with The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Their expertise together with our state of the art equipment, ensures your experience will be professional, caring and of a very high standard.

Our practice is based in a homely and charming Tasmanian sandstone cottage with high ceilings and spacious rooms. You will find a relaxed environment with a warm welcoming feel throughout the practice and freshly washed sheets and fluffy towels in every room! Each of our scanning rooms have wall mounted plasma TV screens for you to watch your own scan should you so wish.

Our entire team made up of clinicians, radiographers, sonographers and reception staff work hard to provide you with a caring and professional service. We want to look after you.

We support women around the globe

We see ourselves as part of the local and international community and are pleased to support several charities.

We love to donate to charities which help women, especially pregnant women and women with breast cancer.

We support the SmallSteps project. This project is aimed towards young women up to the age of 25 with infants and/or young children who are considered to be at risk of homelessness and/or having their child removed into State Care.

We are also involved in helping raise money for Endometriosis research. This affects one in 10 women in Australia.
