These are uncertain times and we share your concerns regarding COVID-19.

We have taken on board the recommendations from the Australian and Tasmanian governments to put in place additional safety precautions for our patients and staff.

We ask that you bear with us as we navigate the rapidly changing recommendations.

We ask :

If you have a fever please do not attend our practice. Let us know and we will re schedule your appointment.

If you have a cough please use the provided face masks.

Keeping in mind that we need to “keep our distance”. When you arrive at the practice ring the rooms and let us know that you have arrived and are waiting in your car and we will let you know which US room you will be assessed in and when to enter the rooms.

We also believe that it is best to limit the number of people in the room with you when the scan is performed.

Please be assured that we have put in place additional protocols for cleaning of the rooms, machines and probes to keep us all safe.

The reception staff will from Monday be asking for email addresses. This will enable us to send information sheets for you to fill out and return, to lessen the contact that we have. We would appreciate emailed pictures of the request form, where possible.

Ultrasound  and mammography are examinations that require person to person contact, and this will not change. We do not have the ability to work from “home” so we are aware that we need to keep our practice safe for patients and workers as we move forward

We are working on changes to scanning protocols to minimise contact yet still maintain our high standards to provide a diagnosis.

We will keep you informed as we move forward.
